Multifurca orientalis X.H. Wang, sp.nov.
IF554375
Morphologically very similar to Multifurca furcata but latex discoloring dull yellowish rather than greenish when dry.
Holotype: CHINA. Anhui Prov., Qianshan, Tianzhu Mt., near Foguang Temple, elev. 630 m, N30°43'17.73'' E116°27'18.31'', under mixed forest of Pinus taiwanensis and fagaceous trees, 29 VIII. 2011, X.H. Wang 3034 (HKAS 73577, KUN).
Sporocarps medium-sized, rigid, compact. Pileus 50 mm diam., depressed at center; margin slightly involute; surface subsmooth, hygrophanous, yellowish to yellowish brown, margin yellowish with olivaceous tinge (3A5), clearly zonate. Context 3 mm thick, whitish to pale yellowish, zonate. Lamellae crowded, multiple forking, narrow, 1 mm wide, yellowish brown with flesh pinkish tinge (4A4–4B4). Stipe 13 × 20 mm, equal, cylindrical, solid; surface pale yellowish (3A4–4A4), smooth. Latex white, discoloring dull yellowish white when dry.
Basidiospores (60/2/2) (4.0) 4.5–4.9–5.3 (5.5) x (3.0) 3.2–3.6–4.0 (4.5) µm [Q = (1.18) 1.24–1.31–1.43 (1.50)], ellipsoid; ornamentation overall low and faint, up to 0.2 µm high, composed of isolated irregular warts, rarely connected by fine lines, not forming a reticulum, some warts remarkably big and clearly visible; plage not amyloid. Basidia 40–55 x 6–8 µm, subcylindrical-clavate, 4-spored. Macrocystidia absent. Pseudocystidia common, 4–8 µm wide, projecting slightly beyond the basidia, with round apex, rarely with acute apex, with dense yellowish brown content. Lamellar edge with occasional fertile basidia. Pileipellis an ixocutis, 200–300 µm thick, of loosely interwoven hyphae; hyphae 3–5 µm wide, often strongly shrivelled, not gelatinized.

Multifurca pseudofurcata X.H. Wang, sp.nov.
IF554372
Morphologically very similar to Multifurca furcata, with latex unchanging, or discoloring dull yellowish-green (rather than greenish when dry) or staining lamellae pale brownish.
Holotype: CHINA. Yunnan Prov., Weixi, Qizong., roadside from Qizong to Tacheng, elev. 1990 m, N27°34'53.48'' E99°29'51.69'', under mixed forest of Pinus yunnanensis and fagaceous trees, 14 Oct. 2011, X.H. Wang 3205 (HKAS 75815, KUN).
Sporocarps medium-sized, rigid, compact. Pileus 40–70 mm in diam., depressed at center; margin strongly involute when young, remaining so or slightly involute in age, margin lobate; surface smooth, sub-greasy, sometimes with hygrophanous scrobicules, bright yellowish-yellowish (3A4), dull yellowish brown when old, locally darker, often paler at margin, faintly to clearly zonate. Context 1–5 mm thick, whitish, zonate, compact. Lamellae 1–5 mm wide, subcrowded to crowded, multiply forking, with lamellules, warm cream-yellow (4A4), duller when mature (duller than 3A3–3A4). Stipe short compared with the stipe width, 12–15 x 10–30 (40) mm, equal or slightly tapering downwards, cylindrical, eccentric, solid; surface sub-whitish when young, pale yellow or with greenish tinge when mature (1A3), with scrobicules, base tomentum white. Latex white, unchanging or discoloring dull yellow-greenish when dry or staining lamellae pale brownish. Taste acrid to burning.
Basidiospores (240/12/10) (4.0) 4.5–4.9–5.3 (6.0) x (3.0) 3.3–3.7–4.1 (5.0) µm [Q = (1.11) 1.20–1.31-1.42 (1.67)], ellipsoid; ornamentation overall low and faint, up to 0.2 µm high, composed of isolated irregular warts, rarely connected by fine lines, not forming a reticulum, some warts bigger and more visible; plage not amyloid. Basidia 30–50 x 6–9 µm, subcylindrical-clavate, 4-spored. Macrocystidia absent. Pseudocystidia common, 5–10 (12) µm wide, mostly embedded in the hymenium, rarely slightly projecting beyond the basidia, with round apex, rarely with acute apex, with dense yellowish brown content. Lamellar edge sterile to fertile. Pileipellis an ixocutis, 100–250 (400) µm thick, of loosely interwoven hyphae and yellowish brown lactifers, often compact near surface; hyphae 3–6 µm wide, often strongly shrivelled, not gelatinized, intensely yellowish brown near the surface. Stipitipellis an ixocutis; hyphae 2–5 µm wide, compactly arranged, some shriveled, gelatinized. Lamellar trama composed of hyphae and lactifers, lacking sphaerocytes.
